Ingeborg Bachmann

Ingeborg Bachmann (Klagenfurt, 1926 – Rome, 1973) was an Austrian writer, philosopher by traning, best known for her poetry collections and collaborations. She completed her doctorate with a thesis on Heidegger’s existentialism and was in touch with the famous German literary circle Gruppe 47, alongside Paul Celan, Günter Grass and Siegfried Lenz, among others. Posthumously, her work has enjoyed critical and academic recognition, especially because of the interest that her feminist discourse generates.
