Gabriel Ventura collects fourteen English poems by Samuel Beckett, some taken from the collection Echo’s Bones and Other Precipitates, and some others written in different moments of his life.

Samuel Beckett (Dublin, 1906 – Paris, 1989) was an Irish poet, novelist and playwright. With a minimalist style and a clear pessimistic drive in relation to human nature and condition, Beckett also gave a touch of humour to his works that never abandons the reader. Beckett won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969. He is regarded as one of the most representative figures of the Theatre of Absurd and of 20th-century literary experimentalism.

Bèsties is a wallpaper collection that combines the poetry and the portraits of some of the most acclaimed authors of universal literature. A selection of excerpts —posthumous, unpublished, forgotten— are presented in a groundbreaking format by the translators, current Catalan poets. The posters escape the parcelling of conventional pagination to project in a single canvas the unity of meaning emanating from the poems. Each wallpaper comes with a separate front page including a foreword by the translator, which contextualizes their selection and situates the author in their context.
