We present a brief but intense selection of Albert Camus’ Carnets (1962-1965), the posthumously published personal journals of the Nobel prize winning French author. Spanning over 700 pages, in them we find a complete, straightforward, no-filter Camus; it is an irregular work —in the best possible sense of ‘irregular’—, thanks to the implicit authenticity and transparency in something that was not written to be published. In this poster Edicions Poncianes, together with Francesc Gelonch and Laia Carbonell, offer a series of powerful extracts: aphorisms, ideas and fragments full of poetic emotion.

This selection constitutes the first ever publication of the Carnets in Catalan. They are a fascinating counterpart to the rest of his work and give the original context to some of his most famous quotes.

Bèsties is a wallpaper collection that combines the poetry and the portraits of some of the most acclaimed authors of universal literature. A selection of excerpts —posthumous, unpublished, forgotten— are presented in a groundbreaking format by the translators, current Catalan poets. The posters escape the parcelling of conventional pagination to project in a single canvas the unity of meaning emanating from the poems. Each wallpaper comes with a separate front page including a foreword by the translator, which contextualizes their selection and situates the author in their context.
